Since 2020
Inspiration for founding this organisation was drawn from the first level 5 lockdown in March 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Different people groups were articulating their concerns and possible grievances and to some degree, receiving some form of reprieve and assistance. In face of all this, the question that; begged for a response was, “where is the voice of the teenagers when all this is happening, are they silent because all is well or because of a lack of an outlet to voice their concerns?”
In response to this question, something had to be put in place to connect teenagers with an outlet to voice their concerns as well as bring to light, the welfare and humanitarian needs they encounter. At the centre of it all, was the unquenchable passion to see teenagers uplifted, empowered and given a platform on which they can stand. This saw Miss Hlengiwe Ntamane teaming up with fellow colleagues, namely: Mr Tebogo Moswele and Miss Palesa Ngobeni, who carry a similar passion passion to improve the lives of teenagers, in establishing the organisation. This marked the birth of Khula Let's Grow Together.
